If you're anything like me, then your shower looks a bit like your closet...full of a bunch of stuff, some that hasn't been touched in a while!
I've got my shampoos, conditioners, soaps, shaving creams, scrubs, you name it. All the stuff I need to look and feel good. I try to buy products that are good for me and not full of bad chemicals.
Despite all this, my skin and hair just didn't feel like it used to. I'm not old by any stretch of the imagination (35 if you must know). Even though I was using the good stuff, my skin was always dry and my hair rough and brittle.
It was getting to the point where I thought there was something wrong with me! So, as a last resort, I booked an appointment with a dermatologist to get down to the bottom of things. I hoped they would tell me it was some easily preventable thing and to do XYZ and everything would go back to normal.
Instead, the dermatologist was dumbfounded. He said my skin, while not perfect, was on par with what he saw in most of his healthy clients. He then recommended using all natural lotions and bathing products, all of which I'd already tried!
So there I am several hundred dollars down the drain with still no answers.
Not too long after that uneventful trip to the dermatologist, I noticed my hair was getting pretty long. I usually trim up my own hair, but I felt like going to a professional this time. You know, to treat myself! Let me just say that was one of the best things that could have happened.
As I get more comfortable around my stylist, Bianca, I start opening up about the problems I've been having with my hair and skin. The natural and organic products I use. How I even went to the dermatologist and they couldn't figure out what was wrong.
After much listening and nodding, Bianca looks at me and says:
